Vision & Mission

The primary objective of the Trust will be initiating and implementing any activity or programme or project for uplift of illiterate visually challenged individuals all over the world to the Light of Holy Qur'an.

Other Objectives

• To take up all activities, programmes & projects and any other incidental matters that are necessary for the attainment of the primary objective including research, awareness, education, documentation, training, seminar, workshops, publishing, printing etc.
• To impart Braille literacy to all who are visually challenged, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
• To establish a Remote Assistance Centre for Braille Literacy for the benefit of visually impaired people across the world.
• To design and setup a ful-fledged blind-friendly campus for easy and safe mobility of visually impaired people from one center to another (eg. from entrance to computer center) without the help of others by designing a set of unique facilities like self guiding passages/pathways and staircases, sensors and voice messages etc.
• To establish a Braille Press for printing of Holy Qur'an, Islamic Books and Periodicals.
• To setup a facility for printing Large Text Holy Qura'n and other Islamic Publications for the benefit of partially blind.
• To establish a permanent setup for Braille Qur'an literacy.
• To establish a Higher Education Center to promote higher education in Qura'n and Islamic Studies among visually challenged muslim brothers.
• To develop and implement a Mobile Braille Qur'an Literacy Programme.
• To launch a Talking Book Project and setup an audio library for the blind.
• To establish a residential Thahfeedul Qur'an Course for visually impaired people.
• To establish a Braille Library, Braille Computer Training Centre, Job Training Centre for the training of visually challenged.
• To establish a Rehabilitation Centre for helpless visually impaired individuals and their families.
• To give help and support for deserving visually impaired students who are studying in institutions that are conducted on the basis of ethical and moral principles by means of stipends, scholarships, encouragements and other helps by providing job oriented training.
• To work and collaborate with other like-minded organizations/establishments in India or abroad for fulfilling the objectives of the Trust.
• To do any other charitable activities, if it is incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above said aims and objectives
• To enter into and manage enterprise for the enhancement of the Trust fund, solely for the furtherance and fulfillment of the objectives laid down in the Deed of Trust.

Two years passed since GIFB started its journey. As we all know, two years is too short to take the balance sheet of activities, especially for a global organization like GIFB. We are proud that we could do a lot for the visually challenged with the help our supporters.
